朝方、天気が危ぶまれましたが、次第に雨も上がり、無事開催となりました。私も、初めて行ってみました。町役場前のメイン会場はかなりの人だかり。特設駐車場には県外ナンバーも多くみられました。メイン会場には出店が立ち並び、バッジや手ぬぐいなどの常長グッズはもとより、川崎町の名産、牛串など片手に老若男女が集いました。町内パレードや今年初めての武将隊による演舞。また来年が楽しみです。
400 hundred years ago, Date Masamune, a powerful daimyo in Tohoku region sent his retainers to Europe. Hasekura Tsunenaga was one of the retainers, and born here in Kawasaki-machi, Miyagi.
Today The 22nd Hasekura Tsunenaga Festival was held in the center of the town. There were a samurai parade marching around the town, samurai attractions, the brass band play by the pupils of Kawasaki Elementary School etc. on the main stage. We could also taste Kawasaki Beef, a specialty of this town at a grill stand in the site. Looking forward to seeing you next year.
